Judy Shepura practices in the areas of estate planning, probate law, trust administration and elder law. She advises clients and families in the care for disabled family members through reformation of existing trusts or other protective arrangements, including the use of special needs trusts that coordinate with government benefits.
Judy graduated in 1972 with a B.A. degree from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained a M.A. degree from Georgia in 1973. In 1989, she received her J.D. degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where she served on the Cumberland Law Review.
Judy is a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations, and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and serves on the Board of Advocacy for the Center for Aging at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
