For over twenty years, Virginia has represented lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions relating to property located in the southeast and all other areas of the United States. Her practice has also included the drafting and negotiation of office space leases, commercial construction financing and the securitization of commercial real estate loans. At Dominick Feld Hyde, P.C., Virginia's practice has expanded to include buyers and sellers of commercial real estate and general business clients. Virginia has a peer review rating of AV Preeminent (5.0 out of 5) from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Virginia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in 1983, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1986, and served on the Alabama Law Review. She was also a member of the Order of the Coif and selected as a Hugo Black Scholar.
Professional and Civic Affiliations
In March of 2012, Virginia was appointed to the Alabama Center for Real Estate’s Leadership Council at the University of Alabama.
Almost since its inception in 1993, Virginia has been active in BirminghamCREW, the premier commercial real estate association in the Greater Birmingham Area for women and the men who do business with them. She served as President of BirminghamCREW in 2009 and on its Board of Directors from 2004 to 2010. Virginia represented BirminghamCREW as a delegate to its North American parent organization, CREW Network, in 2007 and 2008. She currently serves as BirminghamCREW’s first Historian.
Virginia is on the Business Development Committee of the Vestavia Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations.
